Going Green With A Vanadium Acquisition
North Bay Resources Inc (OTCBB: NBRI) now classified as a vanadium stock. announce that it’s picked up thePine River Vanadium deposit in NE British Columbia. Vanadium is a strategic metal that is irreplaceable in a number of applications, including green energy storage, that is environmentally friendly. People now call vanadium the green metal or element because of the more popular vanadium redox fuel cell that many companies are developing now which has vanadium stocks on the uprise.
Pine River Vanadium covers 1,810 acres and is located in the Pine River Valley, approximately 700 kilometres northeast of Vancouver British Columbia and about 600 kilometers northwest of Edmonton, Alberta. While its location is remote, the property has excellent infrastructure with regard to both transportation and energy. Its easy driving with the paved roadway which runs parallel with Pine River. BC Rail And Peace River power transmission line cross on the other side of the valley so their is no interruption from them. The Vally is layered with oil and gas pipelines, its not an uncommon thing to run into one.
Sampling documented in MINFLE 093O 009 and Assessment Report 20372 defined a vanadium-bearing zone with a length of 200 metres and an estimated width of 100m. 40 plus samples were assayed, with yields ranging in value from 0.219 to 0.47% vanadium, and up to 0.83% vanadium pentoxide (V2O5). Estimates contain several million tonnes minimum, though these estimates preliminary and based on an examination of a very small portion of the overall property so further examination will be needed to further our attention.
Research by the Company indicates North Bay holds the BC property where vanadium is the primary resource. Besides its traditional uses, such as in the manufacture of high-strength and super-light steel alloys, vanadium has in recent years seen ever-increasing demand for use in the next generation of vanadium redox batteries that can be charged and recharged indefinitely and actually can charge themselves with sugar by removing 1,2,3, or 4 neutrons. Hybrid cars, as well as large-scale wind and solar energy installations, all benefit from vanadium batteries to make these technologies more efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally-friendly. Its use in alternative energy is one of the reasons that Discover Magazine recently called vanadium “the element that could change the world.”
